What wine should I buy from Portugal?

Hey, friends. Long time lurker, first time poster. My husband and I are headed to Portugal in a few days and are hoping to bring back some port & wine that we can't get in the United States. I'm about 3.5 months pregnant, so ideally something that ages well. We are also preferential to red wine over white. Any thoughts? Suggestions? It is even worth trying to do this when so much is available here?
