My wife and I will be in the south of France for 17 days from late May- early June. I've put a 3 night stop in Avignon in the itinerary. We are on a pretty big Rhone kick right now, and I'd like to know how feasible it is to do some tastings in Chatenuef du Pape, using Avignon as a base. Or, is there somewhere else in the region you'd recommend? I'm open to all suggestions. Thanks r/wine.
