Hi everyone!
I'm fairly new to reddit, but am starting to get more into wine so was thrilled to find this sub. I'm hoping to get my boyfriend a few bottles of wine for Valentines day (one to open then, and maybe a couple more to keep for a while). He is also just starting to get into wine, but so far seems to really enjoy California cabernets. The ones I know he likes include Justin and Cakebread (not a ton of reference points I know, but that's what I know for sure). So I was looking to get some bottles that would either be similar to those or might just be a good idea to try for someone who enjoys California cabs. In terms of price, I can be flexible since it's a gift and mostly just concerned with getting something that would be new and interesting for him to try. Any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!!
