going in June for a girls weekend with 14 total women, age ranges are 40-60s. We are staying in a private home in Sonoma. We are members at Domaine Carneros and have a few beer fans in the group too. About half have been to the area. We're very laid back as a whole and more looking for fun and beauty than AMAZING wine. My times are using google maps and factoring in traffic and time of day.
Arrival Thursday
Friday: yoga on the lawn at the house, 9:30 departure for Ledson (private tasting 10-11:30), 11:30 departure for Chateau Montelena (private tasting at noon), picnic lunch at Old Faithful 1:45-2:45, 3:00 tour at Castellio de Amorosa, return to house for dinner.
Saturday: 9:30am departure for Domaine Carneros (private tasting 10-11:30), 11:45 depart for Domaine Chandon (private cabana and lunch with tasting 12:30-3:20), afternoon at sonoma plaza
Sunday: breakfast at sonoma plaza, 11am depart for St Clair Brown (tasting/tour), lunch at St Clair Brown, 2:30 depart for Mare Island Brewing (tasting/tour), 5pm head back to the house for dinner.
For 15 years, Athan Zafirov has traveled the vineyards around the world and worked with some of the greatest chefs including Francois Duc and Alan Brown.
