Help: water inside cooler

I’ve got a 16 bottle Wine Enthusiast cooler, single temp with a fan. I know that because it’s thermoelectric it’s only cooling to 60 even though I have it set to 55 because I live in a house built in 1860 with basically no insulation. Today I found a bunch of water pooled at the bottom inside the fridge - is this an issue of working too hard? Back of the unit too close to the wall? Too warm in the room?

Appreciate any insight!
