Started by two MIT graduates, The company Bright Cellars claims that they can determine your wine taste in a seven-question quiz....so myself and three other sommeliers got together to take the quiz and see if the service is as legitimate as it seems. While some of us were initially optimistic, the deeper we got into the service, the more questions we had. Is Bright Cellars worth trying? Can you determine someone's wine taste in seven questions? And can you assess someone's wine taste by asking them non-wine related questions?
I'm excited to hear everyone's thoughts and opinions on a service like this. Are wine delivery websites like this the future of our industry? And if they are, what does that mean for our role as sommeliers moving forward.
