Wine experts of Reddit, help me fill my wine rack

I very rarely drink wine, and I'm not cultured/experienced enough to have good taste in wine.

However, I have many guests who would very much like me to have wine on hand.

I have 36 places to put bottles, and $1000-$2000 to spend.

If you were me, what would you spend that money on in order to have a well rounded wine rack?

*would appreciate an approximate cost for each suggestion if you know it of the top of your head
