Brining Bottles Into Canada

Does anyone have experience brining wine back to Canada (specifically BC) from trips over 48hrs? What duties did you pay on the bottles over the 1.5L exemption. I’ve read the duties caps out at something like max $20 per bottle, or occasionally if you declare 6 or so bottles the agents will just not bother to charge you. Any first hand experience appreciated! Thanks
