What do you call a sparkling that is a classic mix of both white and red grapes?
Like, not a blanc de blanc and not a blanc de noir. There must be a term for a mix.
At first I thought cuvée, but technically speaking a cuvée is just ‘blend’, and so could refer to, say, a Pinot noir and Pinot meunier blend of champagne. Which is still (also) a blanc de noir of course.
So is there a term to denote a classic style mix of both white and red grapes?
