Wife is looking for a wine tasting birthday vacation. We are on the US East Coast, have done a quick tour through Napa a few years ago, but was just a day trip driving through. Have done a trip through southern NY state and northeast Pennsylvania, and while that was interesting, the wine certainly didn't blow us away. She wants to go back to Napa and do a proper multi-day trip, but that leaves us with burning a lot of time traveling to/from. We were looking at the Finger Lakes region, that would be a direct flight and few hours drive for us. Should we suck it up and do Northern California, or are there any other regions to visit? Any solid votes for Finger Lakes?
