How to waste less wine

I'm not a big drinker, but when I am in the mood for something to drink I deffiently prefer red wines over anything else, and I'm not at all picky, I really dont have a very developed taste for wines at all. However I can never seem to finnish a bottle of wine as quickly as I'd like, I'd have to have a glass a day for almost a week straight if i want to finnish a bottle before it starts to stale. I suppose maybe refrigerating could help, but then Itd be too cold to drink and I'll be even less likely to pour myself a glass if I have to remember to bring it out an hour before hand. Its not a problem when eating out but I love to be able to have a glass with dinner at home, just not every single or even every second night. I prefer dryer wines but I also dont mind desert wines like manischewitz, or david mogen, and I find port wines last a little longer so I typically buy those.

But I'm curious what people who like wine think, do you run into this problem, should I just buy cheap wine and not stress about wasting it when it inevitably goes bad? I'm in canada so there arnt as many options but maybe should I try canned wines or smaller bottles? How long does a resealable bottle of wine typically last anyways? One thing I have been considering is buying some brandy and then just buying Concord grape juice in small containers, obviously spirits last far longer once opened and if anyone can reccomend what brandy would work for this that would be appreicate but I was thinking then I could just pour myself a little bit of grape juice and mix in a splash of brandy to make some rough approximation of port wine to have with the odd meal, then I wont be feeling like I have to have a glass just so I'm not wasting drugs, cus I dont know, feeling pressure and having to finnish a big bottle of wine doesnt seem like healthy or good substance use, I dont want to use a drug more often then I want to just to keep it from going bad on me yknow.

Is this a common problem, and what would you reccomend as a solution? I really appreciate your time, I suppose I could switch to beer but I really prefer the taste of wine. Maybe I should just save wine for when I'm eating out to avoid this problem lol. If my girlfriend liked wine maybe itd be easy to split a bottle between us within the space of a week, but she doesnt like it it seems because whenever I open a bottle I end up being the only one to touch it.
