Wine tasting trip

Sorry if not the right sub. Please delete if it is not.

Wife and I are going to start planning our 10 year anniversary trip for next year. We discussed doing some wine tasting. My wife is a casual wine drinker, and I'll occasionally drink what she orders, but its something we've wanted to do since we went to Italy about 6 years ago.

We were looking to travel either in June/July 2023 or late December 2023. Trip would be 7-9 days, though we would like to do some other things besides wine tasting. We were originally thinking Napa, but have been thinking maybe Woodinville might be a little better suited for us. We kind of like to travel in off-season to avoid crowds, but figured it might be too cold to do Woodinville in December, but may be fine for Napa.

Any recommendations? Would Napa be too much for us since we arent big wine drinkers? We are coming from Florida, so we would like some cooler weather. Is there any other regions you would suggest we check out? We also enjoy hiking, and figured if we did WA, we could check out some waterfalls, whale watching, and some other outdoor activities. Appreciate the help in advance.
