Question about Chateau Musar

Came across this wine per accident and recently bought a couple of '16 reds to lay away for a (long) while. Now I also have the opportunity to buy a 2000 and/or a 1998. They are not cheap (for me at least) so I would like to know which you would recommend for opening now (and not aging further). Although the vintages are relatively close to each other I read Musar can differ greatly between years (correct?).
