Starting a wine collection

Hi r/wine,

I got a wine fridge for Christmas. Holds 24 bottles. And I think I have the itch now.

Most of the bottles I recently purchased are from 2016-2019. Mostly Napa cabs and Bordeaux.

I definitely want to wait a few years and give them some time to mature, but I have two questions.

How do you all stay patient and not drink them all?

And what is your process for adding to the collection? We have some decent stores in my area (big box and smaller retailers), but now I feel a bit like a hoarder. What to buy now to drink and what to hold on to.
