Is there any other country that has a winery setup similar to small wine towns like in Alsace France?

I had a great time in Alsace last year, and really enjoyed how they had a ton of small towns with individual winemakers. I was able to just walk around in each town and taste an enormous amount of wine. Some were larger setups, and some were just some old lady's garage. I just parked my car at my hotel and was able to walk everywhere, or take their cute little train to the next town over. Specifically speaking about that stretch of towns from Colmar up to Ribeauville. People were crazy friendly too. Heavy pours, busting out special reserves and higher end product, offering free food, adding an extra bottle when you'd buy something etc.

Does this exist anywhere else in Europe? Like Italy or Spain? If so, can someone tell me the area/towns please?
