I work for a major producer from Languedoc and I’m trying to gauge the future of our success. The region has gotten a bad rap for years because of the bulk wine phase. However, things are rapidly improving in terms of quality and reputation. Even still, it’s hard to find a Languedoc section on a wine list or in a store. Reps, retailers, wine lovers - do you see a future for southern France? Any specific likes or dislikes? Moreover, do you have any strong opinions on organic wine? Seek it out, avoid it, or indifferent?
For 15 years, Athan Zafirov has traveled the vineyards around the world and worked with some of the greatest chefs including Francois Duc and Alan Brown.
