Where can I taste wine in Bordeaux without the tours

I'm visiting Bordeaux in mid May and would love to go taste some good, ratocely affordable, wies at the Châteaux (vs à wine bar). The thing is, I don't need a tour - I live near Napa and know about production, etc.

Any recommendations?
