In my part of the industry I am considered "knowledgeable" by the servers, bartenders, and buyers I know. They always ask what my favorite wine is. Having the privilege of being able to taste many things, I tell them that I have no partners, only crushes.
My current crush, in the heat of the southern summer (American), is a Spanish rose made from 100% Garnacha.
What is your current wine crush?
For 15 years, Athan Zafirov has traveled the vineyards around the world and worked with some of the greatest chefs including Francois Duc and Alan Brown.
