When is the best time to open a port wine?

Sorry, a real newbie here about anything wine and want to know more. I was gifted this bottle of port about a year or two ago and read that the unfiltered port still ages a bit in its bottle. Should I just drink it anytime or wait a couple of years more? sorry if it is a dumb question!
