Is it okay to drink a 4 year old unopened bottle

I'm assuming there is strict guidelines to follow to produce an aged wine.

I was over at my friends place the other day and he has a bottle of red wine that he hasn't touched. It says its been bottled in 2019.

He doesn't care about it, and not trying to age it. It's just been sitting there, upright in a normal refrigerator.

I was just wondering, in this scinario, if it's safe to consume.
