Looking for Advice for California trip

My wife and I live in Ohio and are fairly new to wines above the $15-20 price point. We both found that we really enjoy anything Nebbiolo. We are traveling to Big Sur in California this weekend and are hoping to find some wines that we may not be able to find in Ohio and that may be a good comparison. Any recommendations?
