Our friends asked me to pick wine for their daughter’s wedding. This will be a laid back very fun reception, with flowing beer, wine, and a custom mixed drink for the bride and groom. Food will be a taco bar. They’re on a tight budget so I’m looking for bottles in the $8 range. We need a universal white and red selection that appeals to a wide range of pallets and is okay for us wine snobs.
If we can source from Costco that would be great. We have limited wine shops around our area.
I don’t drink a lot of white wine, but the Chateau St. Michelle Chardonnay seemed good at $8.50. Any better suggestions? For the red, I’m thinking a balanced blend that’s Merlot heavy, but open to your suggestions.
