1981 or 1987 Chateau d'Yquem, which bottle to get ?

Hey all

I'm coming up on an opportunity to get a bottle of Chateau d'Yquem either the 1981 or the 1987 they are both going for the same price so that's not the trouble but I am only able to get one.

Just wondering if anyone has experience with these vintages and which one is better, or if I'm better off looking for a different vintage entirely, which i think there are still a few available at this event.
