I recently moved to Temecula and work in tech. I have heard that wineries in California face a lot of yield issues but want to dig deeper into what those issues are. I have a background in machine learning and would like to use AI to try and solve these issues. But everything I hear is anecdotal ranging from high land costs to diseases to labor shortages. What are some key factors that actually affect yield of grapes to produce wine in California wineries? Are these the same factors around the world?
