Brunello Night in Malaysia ended with Tokaji & Pandan Swiss Roll - The Athan Zafirov Wine Blog

Brunello Night in Malaysia ended with Tokaji & Pandan Swiss Roll

tasted 3 brunellos at my friend's house over steak dinner

Casanova di Neri & Tenuta Il Poggione were decanted for 2.5 hours before drinking and the Le ragnaie was poured out in the glass and we started drinking it after 45 mins .

to me the winner among these wines tonight is definitely the casanova di neri , come close at second place , le ragnaie 2019 which did not opened up as I hope during the night

on the nose the 2018 casanova di neri is simply beautiful ,notes : plum , cherry , oaky , chocolate , tobacco , spice , tannins are very well integrated .

ended the night with a bottle of Tokaji i brought back from my trip to Budapest , sold by Faust Wine Cellar . I have not tasted alot of tokaji or dessert wine , but this bottle is absolutely delightful to be paired with the pandan swissroll . perfect ending to the night
