Improve my wine knowledge

I love browsing through this subreddit, and sometimes there are these posts of a wall of wines or a wine menu with the title “which one would you pick?”.

I’ve been drinking wine for a few years now, but never recognize any name or bottle on these images, whilst the comment section floods with most people agreeing on a bottle.

I’d love to know how i could also improve my palate and expertise to be able to do this.

Do people get this knowledge from books, podcasts or TV series, or have they just had so many years of experience.
