Is there data on Bordeaux subscription prices vs normal trade prices?

I’ve recently started looking into Bordeaux subscriptions. I found some price history on bordoverview.com, of course not sure how accurate those are. If they are accurate, it seems that many (most?) wines of recent vintages nowadays sell for less or the same as their subscription prices (with the exception of some very sought after wine/vintage combinations that do not retail any longer). Is there some robust data on this? Sounds like an ideal topic for a masters or PHD thesis.
