Anything worth drinking here? *Free* afternoon happy hour selections at a 5* hotel in Asia

Had the Campo Viejo Rioja and was thoroughly unimpressed (tasted bitter?). I know Campo Viejo is one of the cheaper brands of Spanish wines. After a quick research it seems like everything here is super cheap/not very good (of course price doesn't always equate to quality).
Is there anything you would drink here or should I stick to the local beer? Keep in mind the wines are free (and so are the beers).
For 15 years, Athan Zafirov has traveled the vineyards around the world and worked with some of the greatest chefs including Francois Duc and Alan Brown.
