Franschhoek Wine Recs for Pinot Noir or Smaller Wineries

Hi,

I'm looking for recommendations for the wine tram in Franschhoek.

I have been very fortunate to live in several amazing wine regions but can hardly buy drinkable wine where I live now. So I'm looking for quality of wine over gardens, tours, or "experience" of wine tasting. I had plenty of that in Napa and came to really appreicate the smaller places that experiemented more but didn't always have the upscale vibes. One of my favorite tastings was on an unkempt lawn in whatever old folding chairs they had.

I don't know much about ZA wines or wineries, but there aren't many wines that I don't like (looking at you pinot grigio).

My husband and both really loved most wineries in the Russian River especially Pinot Noirs or similar styles.

I'd say my second favorite is an NZ Sauv Blanc and his is Cab Franc especially from Central/Eastern Europe.

We will have a car and would be willing to drive somewhere if it's worth it.
