The first sip is always bad for me

Whenever I drink wine of any form, and of any quality, the first sip always makes me almost gag - but then I’m completely fine and I enjoy the rest of the glass/bottle no problem.

Does this happen to anyone else and if so do you know why? I can only imagine it’s something to do with the acidity, I have no problems like this with any other form of alcohol.

Thanks for any help!
