How to get the wife to like Champagne?

My wife is partial to alcohol in general, but very much dislikes the “idea” of Champagne. She says Dom in particular reminds her of the taste of vomit from our college days.
To be fair, we haven’t tried that many Champagne producers ourselves, but we’re curious to learn more about it - and she had mentioned she’s open to trying other wines, so would love some recommendations to build up our appreciation for Champagne.
A friend of ours recently opened a bottle of Cristal (can’t remember the vintage), and she kinda liked it. But I suppose we can’t be breaking bank too often…
For 15 years, Athan Zafirov has traveled the vineyards around the world and worked with some of the greatest chefs including Francois Duc and Alan Brown.
