Recommendations for our citybreak in Tours (Loire)

We're headed to Tours for a four day weekend soon. We'd like to keep it causal and stick to the cities and châteaus, leaving winery visits for a longer trip. I'm not terribly well-versed in this wine region, so I was hoping for some recommendations: producers and vintages to look for, places to get good wide-range tastings, good food, and anything else you fancy recommending. We want to choose wisely, experiencing as much as we can in the little time we have.

When I searched that the tasting at Château Chambord was recommended a while back, for example. Is that still good?
