Hey everyone. I am trying to understand what it is about chablis. Just for context: I am living in France. I've tried it with some regular chablis. It was good and all but never amazing. I had a lot of more memorable white wines from everywhere in France or Europe, but I never tried something high end from the new world so not talking about it. What would you recommend that is really surprising? I of course heard about Ravenneau but it is really expensive or hard to find. Is it worth it? Any other producer worth looking into? Any specific cru or place such as Montée de tonnerre and such?
I don't really care about the price, I just want to understand what it is that make everyone say it is THAT good. Please share what you like!
