Hey all! I'm really new to wine, and especially alcohol as a whole. I've had very limited experience, and so I come to you professionals for some suggestions. Thus far I've tried Stella Rosa red and red berry, which were both pretty good, and a Moscato which was also pretty good. I wanna mess around with other wines, especially since so far I've only really had sweet reds. I'm also not sure what exactly I should be pairing with different wine, since I've only ever really just had a night with a bottle and gotten a little tipsy lmfao. I know some of the basics like you pair reds with lean meats, but there are so many different kinds of reds, and then there are whites, and roses, and chardonnays. It all gets very overwhelming lmao.
So what wines would you suggest? I'd love to mess around with a bit of everything and see what I like and what pairs best with whatever. I also wanna look into cooking with wine, mostly stews, so what would you suggest to go best for that? Are there any other fun ways I can use wine with cooking? If you guys have any particular brands in mind I'd love to hear 'em!
I know this is a wine sub, but I've also been wanting to try out some other alcohols whenever I go drinking with friends, and that's an entirely more intimidating prospect lmao. I don't suppose you guys happen to have any suggestions there?
If it helps I got these wines today to try out over the next while. What would you guys pair with these? Are there any you'd use to cook with?
