Long time lurker, but would love some expertise! I live on the North side of Chicago. My best friend (a brother to me) is getting engaged next week. He is deeply Italian (Roman) and I'm looking to pick up high quality Italian red as an engagement present. I recently had the 2017 Masi Costasera Amarone and want to find something on that level and price range, but open to any double digit prices. My first instinct is the Lincoln Park Binnys as I've had sucess with wine there before. Where are the gems for some Italian wine? Or are there specific labels I should seek out?
