Looking for a birth-year wine to engrave and cellar for 20 + years — advice on bottle choice, engraving, storage, and price ranges welcome!

Hi everyone,

I’m a new parent hoping to buy one special bottle from my baby’s birth year (2025), have it engraved, and cellar it until their 21 st birthday. I’m based in the UAE but open to ordering internationally if a retailer ships reliably here.

What I’m hoping to learn from the community

  1. Bottle suggestions: Which producers or styles would you trust to age gracefully for two decades or more?
  2. Where to buy: Any retailers—local or online—you’ve had good experiences with for well-stored, authentic bottles that ship to the UAE?
  3. Engraving / presentation: Has anyone used a service to laser- or sand-blast a design onto the glass, or to supply a custom wooden case? Would love vendor tips and rough cost estimates.
  4. Storage advice: I have a wine fridge set to 12 °C. Anything else I should watch out for in a hot, humid climate so the bottle survives two decades?
  5. Price checkpoints: For those who’ve done this, what did you end up paying for the wine itself, engraving, and presentation? Curious about typical ranges to expect.
