Napa/Sonoma wine tasting questions please advise me

Hi wine-

Does anyone want to answer questions for me that I don’t even know how to google? Does anyone want to advise me on probably a confusingly specific and also naively informed preference? If so I would appreciate it greatly. πŸ˜“πŸ˜“ I’ll begin-

(Grew up sometimes visiting with one of my estranged parents in this area. They would take me to a lot of places but I wasn’t old enough to taste/ dont remember too many places. I was that kid at the winery just sitting there kind of listless until my parents said it was time to go. Im thinking of visiting a winery on my own for the first time and I have some questions.)

Here is my ideal and I get it may be strange but it’s just what is true - I like red wine. Maybe Zinfandel. I don’t really want to be asked a lot about myself or why I am there and I don’t want to inform the host of my lack of knowledge. I desire to go to the place and observe the customs of the winery as well as be told a bit about what I am tasting. I don’t need to be asked what I think the notes are etc because I don’t have a developed taste. I would like to think about it in my head by myself perhaps or just try it out. I’d also like to be able to enjoy the ambiance and walk around a bit. I would like to spend no more than $100 (??) it’s kind of like I want to learn a little think a little and enjoy my time because it’s very new to me!

So here are my questions - 1. What’s the difference between a standing tasting where everyone is at the bar or ones where you will sit in a nice garden or yard (scribe?) is there a difference or is just the reservation you make? 2. Do tastings often come with little cheese arrangements or boards or should I assume this was my family ordering something for me to eat πŸ˜“πŸ˜“ 3. Is ordering a bottle expected? What if you end up not wanting to? 4. Is discussion and conversation on my opinions of the taste custom at wineries or was this because my parents were snobs and wanted to share their every thought and feeling?

And advice on what would work?

Also I do apologize for this neurotic energy. It’s that I am excited to try this but I’m also anxious. (Also I’m new to reddit so i apologize if this post is too long or boring or dumb)
