Craft beer lover here, I want to start my wine journey

I'm from Italy and I've been mocked several times for this and even called a "traitor" lmao.

It's not that I don't like wine per se, but I've always felt "inadequate" and "uncultured" and therefore scared to make mistakes.

What wines do you recommend me to start my journey? I am especially interested to red and somewhat strong wines that go well with meats (for example Aglianico, which is maybe the most famous one in my region).

Also, my favourite beer styles are Imperial Stout and Bock/Doppelbock, if that might help.
