For the last 2 years I've been making an effort to improve my knowledge in the wine world (SDEN 3 finisher, sortof Dutch equivalent of WSET3), which I'm having a blast at! The only thing that I struggle with is how to get to know the quality producers from a region.
I love for instance the VDP system in Germany, so you know a bottle that you buy is from a good quality producer. But I struggle with finding the good producers in other wine regions. Do you have any tips on how to improve my wine knowledge to start recognizing a good producer? Are there any good resources for that? Especially in the more afforable (<€50) direction of wine. I'll recognise a Petrus and DRC, but this will unfortunately be very much out of my price range.
