What should I know getting into wine?

Hello everyone,

I have recently turned 21 and wanted to learn more about wine and trying it out. Until now my only experience has been really cheap and shitty box wine.

I have bought a bottle of Georgian wine that I plan to try with a friend but I only got that one cause I’ve been told wine from Georgia is supposed to be good. The wine is Lanchava Collection Kindzmarauli Anastasia. I have no idea what to expect I have done no research at all.

What should I be keeping in mind when purchasing wine or is this more of sample and learn as u go kind of thing?
