Storing wine long term - wine fridge or closet with wine racks?

I am starting to add some decent bottles to my collection that I would like to store for a fair period of time.

I purchased a small lemair wine fridge some time ago, but in my new house there is a small closet that remains cool (I think doesn’t fluctuate unless wild external conditions)

Which would be the optimal to store my nicer bottles? I’ve seen a bit of contradictory info through threads I’ve found so far.
