Normally spend £15ish quid per bottle, usually from UK supermarket recommended lists or occasionally spend up to £20 at local wine shop / bar.
On occasion have had small samples of burgundy when in Dijon which was amazing And bought some old burgs from auction (only tried one Alfred Bichot so far)
Would like to experience a “step up” wine for Christmas, something that would be a noticeable jump in quality
Happy to spend up to around £60 per bottle
Some wines I enjoy drinking regularly are
White: Macon village, Chablis, Albariño and NZ sv
Reds: Southern Rhone (Cairane, Lirac, CDR), Rioja, red burgundy, catena Malbec, beaujolais
Would any kind soul recommend a few bottle that’s available in UK which would be a noticeable jump in quality from my usual midweek supermarket £12 Jadot?
Thanks
