Storage: hot or cold?

Hi All, silly question. Is it better to store red wine in 18 degrees or at around 4? Some context: my basement is unheated and goes to around 4 over the winter months. I’ve moved my wine to the kitchen where is is around 18 degrees. Cooler at night when the heating is off. This will only be until spring. The wines are daily drinkers with about 8 worthy of a special occasion. Thanks.
