This might be dumb, but I have a question about wine's dates

Hi,

I’m not a wine expert, but my dad loves it. I usually follow recommendations from some magazines and buy him wines they suggest. For Easter, I made a special purchase and got five wines.

Here’s what I noticed:

I bought three wines listed as 2020, but the front labels say 2019.

I bought one wine listed as 2021, but the front label says 2023.

I bought a wine listed as 2023, but the front label says 2024.

Just to clarify, I’m referring to the year printed on the front label, not the bottling date.

Is this normal? In the past, wines I’ve purchased had matching label and website years, so I was a bit surprised.
