So I’ve just bought a case of Champagne Selection Blanc de Noirs Brut Chassenay D'Arce simply because I am looking for a daily champagne and this was an insanely cheap price. Now reading the reviews, I keep seeing that they get slot of brioche or toast.
I thought this note came from Chardonnay, but this being 100% Pinot noir, that no longer makes sense to me.
I also read pear and peach which I thought was typically meunier.
Have I just learned it all wrong?
(Chardonnay=green fruits and toast/butter, meunier=yellow fruits, noir=red fruit)
Apologies for the language. Thanks for educating me. Now to taste this thing for myself
