Have you started or part of a Wine study / tasting group?

Hello,

I’m thinking about posting in my local Reddit group / wineEP discord to see if there would be interest in a small study and/wine tasting group and wanted to to gain some insight first to what works and what doesn’t.

In short I did some wine course and got into- then had kids, but now have a bit more time and want to reignite this hobby.

If you have started one or are part of a group what are your experiences?

- How did you start it?

- Were you already friends? Or did you meet us strangers with an interest in wine?

- what format has worked? What to avoid?

- when and how often do you meet?

- how big was it?

I’m based in Cambridge UK and thinking a midweek gathering maybe once a month. Perhaps even meeting at one of the many wine shops/bars if they are happy to host.

I know there are groups in London and perhaps if this works can pop to one of the Hawksmore meets on a Monday.
