Bought some William Fevre 2024 village chablis. The photo on the merchant's site said domaine and he linked to the review of the domaine from burghound. I knew they did a Royaux that was negocient but now I know there is also an even lower quality negocient. The bottles came and the word domaine was entirely missing from the label.
What was delivered was a 2024 bottle with a white emblem on the label and no word Domaine
What should have been delivered was a 2024 bottle with a green emblem on the label and the word Domaine
On a side note, i hate the label redesign which began in 2023. The good news is the merchant is taking the wine back. The bad news is he tried to convince me what he sent was what i ordered. I believe two things the merchant made an honest mistake in delivering the wrong wine, but I also think he tried to convince me a Negocient wine was Domaine Fruit
