Yesterday I opened the Château Piganeau 2010 for the first time – really impressive wine.
You can immediately tell it comes from a very strong vintage. It already shows good maturity, but still feels very present. Dark fruit, a bit of spice, and that typical depth you get from well-made Saint-Émilion wines.
On the palate it’s smooth and rounded from the age, but still structured with good length. Everything is very balanced and cohesive, nothing feels out of place – just a calm, refined impression overall.
I can honestly recommend it to anyone who enjoys mature Bordeaux. Luckily I still have two bottles left – I’ll be saving those for a special occasion.
