What to do with a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon?

Hi guys, I am new to wine. I put myself on a quest to experiment and try new varieties and yesterday I tried my first cab. I got a headache so fast from drinking it and a bit flush. I think that's because of the tannins?
Any suggestions as to what to do with it?
