I haven't bought anything from Chile for a good while, and as I'm always on a budget I'm looking to dip my toes back in as price-wise there seem to be some good values there.
Basically I'm just trying to decide between two wines I can source locally for about the same price (¥2000 more or less). One is the Errazuriz Max 150 Años ('21) and the other is the Escudo Rojo (Rothschild) Gran Reserva Cab ('23). Both seem pretty well-regarded and fairly faithful to the local style - anyone tried both and care to venture an opinion?
Note, for about ¥1K more I could get the Caro (also Rothschild) Amancaya Malbec-Cab from Argentina.
Thanks in advance!
